Congregation Am Haskalah fosters in our students a strong and joyful Reconstructionist Jewish identity, and prepares them to be comfortable, confident and active participants in the many communities, Jewish and other, they encounter.

Our religious school is a core component of our congregation. In an exciting and engaging environment, our students obtain skills and understanding in Hebrew, religious literacy, life cycle events, as well as Jewish history, values, ethics and culture. Teachers craft age-appropriate lessons based on the school’s curriculum. We have multiple grade levels to more closely tailor the childrens’ experience with their aptitudes and ages.

All classes in the Religious School meet on Sundays from 9:30-12:30 at 1190 West Macada Road in Bethlehem, PA (our shared space with CBS). Each student has the option to have a brief check in session by Skype or phone during the week with one one of our teachers to encourage practicing Hebrew and help them learn this better; there is no additional cost for this.  For students who want more extensive tutoring we can help the family make arrangements.
